NDA Andhra Manifesto: Pensions, Allowances, and Free LPG Cylinders

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Andhra Pradesh has unveiled its election manifesto, promising several benefits. It pledges to create 20 lakh jobs for young people and provide a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000. The manifesto, prepared by the BJP, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and Jana Sena Party, does not include photos of any BJP leaders.

TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan launched the manifesto alongside BJP’s state in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh. The manifesto outlines six main promises: creating 20 lakh jobs, providing Rs 3,000 monthly unemployment allowance, offering Rs 15,000 yearly to eligible school children, giving Rs 20,000 financial aid annually to farmers, distributing three free LPG cylinders, and providing free bus travel for women along with Rs 1,500 monthly to eligible women aged 19-59.

The manifesto also promises social security pensions ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 per month. It pledges Rs 6,000 monthly for partially handicapped individuals, Rs 15,000 for fully handicapped individuals, and Rs 10,000 monthly for kidney patients.

Moreover, the manifesto highlights the importance of providing drinking water connections to every household. It plans to introduce welfare schemes through public, private, and community partnerships under the ‘Poor to Rich’ initiative. The manifesto also aims to conduct a skill census to match job opportunities and provide a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh to small and medium-sized enterprises.

The manifesto pledges support for the Backward Classes. Eligible beneficiaries will receive a monthly pension of Rs 4,000 starting at the age of 50. It also promises a new law to protect the interests of BCs and a 34% reservation in local bodies.
