Getup Sreenu, known for his funny acts on TV’s Jabardasth, is now starring as the lead in a movie called “Raju Yadav.” Directed by Krishnamachary, the film has an interesting story. Harshvardhan Rameshwar handled the music. Check out our review!

Plot :

The plot of “Raju Yadav” is straightforward. Raju (played by Getup Sreenu) gets hit by a cricket ball, which permanently changes his face, making it look like he’s always smiling. Upset by this, Raju seeks a doctor’s advice, but he can’t afford the surgery because he’s poor. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Sweety (played by Ankita Kharat), adding to his challenges. The movie revolves around whether Raju manages to overcome his problems and undergo the surgery.

Performance :

“Raju Yadav” mainly revolves around Getup Sreenu’s acting. He plays a character with a condition where he always looks like he’s smiling, which is quite challenging. Although Sreenu performs well, the role isn’t written very effectively, making him seem a bit outdated in some parts. Ananda Chakrapani’s role is similar to his previous ones, but he still manages to shine in a few scenes. Ankita Kharat’s performance is average, as she could have shown more emotion through her facial expressions.

Technical Details :

Harshvardhan Rameshwar, known for his work in the movie “Animal,” composed the music for “Raju Yadav,” but unfortunately, the songs didn’t leave much of an impact on the audience. Suresh Bobbili handled the background music, which was often too loud and didn’t fit well in some parts of the movie. The camerawork was decent, and the dialogues in the second half were impressive. However, there were around ten minutes of unnecessary family scenes in the film that could have been removed. Overall, the writing of “Raju Yadav” is dull, and aside from its unique premise, the movie doesn’t offer anything new.

Review :

The trailers for “Raju Yadav” looked promising, showcasing some of the best moments from the film. However, apart from those scenes, only a few others manage to impress. The movie effectively portrays Raju Yadav’s background and his fun interactions with friends. The idea of him wanting facial surgery is also interesting.

But after that, the movie disappoints. Director Krishnamachary doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Many scenes feel familiar, borrowed from other movies. The hero’s character lacks consistency, with his motives changing abruptly. Only a few scenes, depicting Raju Yadav’s struggles, make sense.

The interactions between the hero and his father are dull and uninteresting. Fans expecting a great performance from Getup Sreenu might be let down. If the emotional aspect had been better developed and the storytelling more humorous, the movie could have been improved. But unfortunately, “Raju Yadav” is poorly written and falls flat.

In summary, it’s a disappointing movie experience.
