The betting buzz surrounding the Andhra Pradesh election is getting almost as much attention as IPL betting. Recent reports from Telugu media suggest that the majority of bets are favoring the YSR Congress party.
Some reports indicate that bets on the YSR Congress have doubled. For example, if someone bets Rs 1 lakh on the party, they could potentially win Rs 2 lakh if they’re successful.
In betting, higher ratios usually mean lower chances of winning. So, it seems like there’s a strong belief among betters that the YSR Congress might not come out on top in the election.
Interestingly, there are claims that some YSR Congress leaders and even MLA candidates are betting on the Telugu Desam+ alliance. This could be a strategy to recoup their campaign expenses if things don’t go well for their party.
These betting activities are expected to intensify once the exit polls are released on June 1st. From then on, Andhra Pradesh politics will be in full swing again.
