The Telangana government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, has launched a strict action plan to ensure food safety and quality in Hyderabad. The Food Safety Department, along with the GHMC, is inspecting eateries to tackle hygiene issues and the use of expired or low-quality food items.
These inspections have uncovered concerning findings, including expired food items like chicken masala and cheese, along with unhygienic conditions in kitchens. Some establishments even lacked proper licenses and documentation for food handling.
The crackdown follows complaints from consumers about declining food quality and hygiene standards in eateries across the city. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s initiative aims to uphold public health and improve standards in the food industry.
By taking a firm stance against food safety violations, the Telangana government is working to ensure a safer and healthier dining experience for its citizens.
