10 Years of Telangana: Apologies, Andhra Pradesh!

User Newsinnews

It’s been ten years since Telangana became a separate state. While Telangana has made progress in many areas, Andhra Pradesh (AP) is facing difficulties. Telangana is doing well financially, but AP is struggling with debt and deficits.

Hyderabad, in Telangana, has grown a lot and developed in all directions. On the other hand, AP still doesn’t have a permanent capital. Chandrababu Naidu, the first CM of AP, chose Amaravati as the capital, but when Jagan’s YSRCP came to power in 2019, plans changed. Jagan announced three capitals, causing confusion and slowing development in Amaravati.

Telangana’s agriculture has improved with projects focusing on irrigation, power, and farmer support. Schemes like Rythu Bandhu and reforms like Dharani have helped farmers. This has also boosted real estate in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad.

In contrast, AP’s progress has declined due to political conflicts, caste issues, and policy changes like canceling power agreements. Some companies, like Amar Raja, have moved investments to Telangana.

Due to lack of jobs and business opportunities, many people have migrated from AP to Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. This has benefited these states’ economies and real estate markets.

Even after ten years, AP is yet to build its new capital and complete irrigation projects like Polavaram. Many institutions and businesses are still pending. Looking back, it’s clear how a state can progress or struggle based on its decisions and actions.
