Gorantla Madhav, a leader from the YSRCP and former Member of Parliament from Hindupur, responded to the election results by saying his party will accept the people’s decision with an open heart. He congratulated Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan for their big wins in the elections and wished luck to the new cabinet ministers.
Madhav also spoke out against the attacks on YSRCP supporters, comparing the behavior of TDP supporters to that of the Taliban, citing widespread violence across the state. He warned that his party would take strong action to protect its supporters.
Initially, Madhav stated that he and his followers would report the attacks to the police in writing. If the attacks continued, he said they would retaliate using a “tit for tat” approach.
Regarding the NDA alliance, Madhav stressed the importance of fighting for special status and other crucial issues for the state. He mentioned that the 4 MPs from the YSRCP would push for special status during the upcoming parliamentary sessions.
