Lokesh Speaks Frankly About Hot Issue

User Newsinnews

The previous YSR Congress government caused a lot of confusion about the capital of Andhra Pradesh, leading to jokes about the state not having a capital. Their plan for three capitals and lack of clarity on shifting the capital motivated people to vote for the Telugu Desam – JSP – BJP alliance, which supports Amaravati as the capital.

As the transition to the new government begins and the coalition gets ready to take charge, Lokesh spoke with a national media channel about the AP capital.

Lokesh was direct in his response, stating that Amaravati is and will remain the capital of AP. He assured that there would be no confusion on this matter and that Amaravati will be developed as the single capital of Andhra Pradesh.

He explained that while Amaravati will remain the capital, there will also be efforts to develop other regions of the state. He pointed out how the previous TDP government brought investments like the Kia plant to Anantapur and electronic manufacturing to Chittoor, emphasizing decentralized development.
