Not just in Telugu states but also nationally, people are intrigued by the Rushikonda palace. Many national media outlets are questioning why Jagan spent Rs 500 crore on such an expensive building without a clear purpose.
While the nation has a strong opinion about the Rushikonda Palace, the YSR Congress Party has taken a defensive stance on this issue.
Today, YCP leader Kodali Nani spoke to the media about the palace and made his characteristic statement. He said, “Jagan doesn’t need to live at Rushikonda. It’s a government building.”
Kodali implied that Jagan doesn’t have the desire or necessity to reside in the Rushikonda palace. He dismissed the controversy as a fabrication by the TDP and its allies.
Amid widespread criticism of the palace, questioning why public money was spent, Kodali’s statement that Jagan doesn’t need to stay there adds a layer of irony to the debate.
