Telangana’s Food Safety Department recently inspected hostels and PG accommodations in Hyderabad. During surprise checks using the ‘Food Safety on Wheels’ vehicle, officials discovered several violations. These included fungal-infested potatoes, rotten tomatoes, and expired spices. Additionally, they found rusted cooking utensils, presence of pests, and unhygienic kitchen conditions. These findings underscore the urgent need for enhanced food safety regulations in such facilities.
