Interpol Alerts Former Prime Minister’s Grandson for Sexual Assault Allegations
The Interpol has issued a blue corner notice against the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, which could bring shame to the country. Additionally, a special court has issued an arrest warrant for JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in a sexual assault case.
The court issued the warrant against 36-year-old Prajwal on Saturday regarding the sexual assault case. Blue corner notices are usually for serious criminals, asking other countries to share any information they have. Prajwal is accused of harassing nearly 3,000 women employees, sexually assaulting women, and recording videos. He was suspended from JD(S) when the scandal emerged.
His father, Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna, is also involved in the case. He’s accused of covering up for his son and kidnapping their housemaid to hide the truth.
Prajwal, the son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, is currently out on bail. He spent seven days in jail and four days in police custody.
There are three cases of sexual assault against Prajwal. Despite this, he was chosen as the NDA’s candidate for the Hassan Lok Sabha seat.
Prajwal got into trouble after explicit videos showing women being sexually assaulted allegedly by him surfaced. Following this, the Karnataka government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the matter.
