Since the state split and Chandrababu became CM, there have been talks about potential capital regions. Amaravati was chosen as the capital of Andhra Pradesh, but when the government changed, so did many plans for Amaravati.
Now, with veteran leader Chandrababu Naidu set to be sworn in again as CM, Amaravati’s real estate is booming. Prices have skyrocketed from 10-15,000 rupees per square yard to 40-50,000 rupees per square yard.
Chandrababu’s return as CM is good news for real estate developers and others who invested in Amaravati. He’s keen on making Amaravati a world-class city and had planned to invest over Rs 50,000 crore for its development. He previously announced plans for nine theme cities and 27 townships in Amaravati.
Since Chandrababu won the election, plot registrations in Amaravati have surged. Over 43,000 plots have been registered, with 21,000 more pending registration.
