Did MS Dhoni’s Big Hit Help RCB Win the Match?

Last night’s big match between SRH and RCB ended with RCB winning in a great way and securing a spot in the playoffs. RCB is now in fourth place on the table and could face either SRH or Rajasthan in the knockout game.

Talking about last night’s game, many people believe MS Dhoni played a big role in RCB’s victory. How? Well, in the final over of the game, CSK needed 17 runs to improve their net run rate and qualify for the playoffs. MS Dhoni, being his usual self, hit a massive six off the first ball of Dayal’s last over. The ball Dhoni hit was so powerful that it went out of the ground and a new ball had to be brought in.

The old ball that Dhoni hit was wet because of the dew and wet outfield. So the bowlers were having trouble gripping it and delivering slower deliveries. But when Dhoni hit the ball out of the park, a new dry ball was used.

This new ball made it easier for Dayal to grip, and he got Dhoni out with the very next ball. Eventually, CSK couldn’t score enough, and RCB won. RCB player Dinesh Karthik also said that the new dry ball changed the game in their favor.
