Reacting to Musk’s statements, India’s former Electronics and IT Minister, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, disputed Musk’s claims, calling them factually incorrect. Chandrasekhar emphasized that devices like calculators or toasters cannot be hacked, and similarly, Indian EVMs are secure and not susceptible to hacking.

Chandrasekhar clarified that Indian EVMs are designed with limited intelligence, ensuring they cannot be tampered with. He criticized Musk for not understanding the specifics of Indian EVMs and challenged Musk’s assertion that secure digital hardware cannot be developed.

Chandrasekhar concluded by inviting Musk to learn more about Indian EVMs, stating that they are meticulously designed to prevent any tampering or hacking attempts.

It remains to be seen how Elon Musk will respond to these rebuttals from the former Minister.
