Recently, there were videos and photos showing two girls and their mother being brutally attacked on the streets. They had deep wounds on their faces and heads. Now, one of the girls, Sunku Nookaratnam, who was badly hurt on her head, has spoken to the media about what happened that day.

For a long time, people thought that everyone in the Burma Camp Colony in Vizag would vote for the YSR Congress Party without question. But when Nookaratnam revealed that she voted for the Telugu Desam Party, some people in the colony started talking. Eventually, some people attacked Nookaratnam’s family because of this.

Nookaratnam said, “When we told them we voted for the Telugu Desam Party, a family who supports the YSR Congress Party attacked us with rods and flower pots. I got knocked out from the beating and had to call the police for help.” She had to get 21 stitches on her head and her hand bones were also broken.

Local leaders from the Telugu Desam Party say that the police, along with supporters of the YSR Congress Party, planned these attacks on people who didn’t vote for them.
