Before the elections in Andhra Pradesh, YS Sharmila, the state’s Congress leader, was very active. She criticized her brother, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is the Chief Minister, saying he hadn’t done a good job. She asked people to vote him out.
During the campaign, Sharmila worked hard, traveling a lot and encouraging Congress supporters.
But after the elections, she disappeared. She hasn’t been seen in public or on social media much. She posted just one tweet on May 14, the day after the election.
On the other hand, Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the I-PAC office and said his party’s win in 2024 would be even bigger than in 2019. Chandrababu Naidu, from the TDP party, has been active on social media, talking about attacks on his party’s supporters and visiting temples.
But Sharmila has been quiet since the elections. Her last big move was filing a case in the Supreme Court against a court order telling her not to talk about Viveka’s murder. Maybe she’ll come back into action after the 2024 election results are out.
