Jagan Replies to Cheap Liquor Issue: “I Don’t Drink”

User Newsinnews

For the past 5 years, CM Jagan and his YSR Congress government have faced criticism for the poor quality of liquor in Andhra Pradesh. Opposition parties claim that many people have died from consuming low-quality liquor.

When asked about this issue, Jagan gave a personal response.

“I personally don’t drink alcohol myself. I don’t think people should drink it either. I am committed to enforcing strict liquor control policies in the state,” Jagan said.

Jagan didn’t directly address the issue of cheap liquor. In 2019, he promised to ban liquor but instead introduced new liquor brands and continued liquor sales.

While Chandrababu has promised to reintroduce quality liquor at regulated prices, Jagan’s comments may spark different opinions. This could affect voting patterns, especially among male voters.
