Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her debut in Tollywood with Jr NTR’s movie “Devara”, recently faced some online teasing after a video of her playing cricket went viral. She also got some criticism for a behind-the-scenes video she released to promote her latest film, “Mr & Mrs. Mahi”, which is coming out today.
In the video, Janhvi is seen playing cricket with her friends, but instead of praising her passion for the sport, some people online started making fun of her. They said she was only doing it for attention and called her “fake” because she was playing with a tennis ball instead of a cricket ball.
Janhvi explained that she chose to use a tennis ball to work on her hand-eye coordination and timing and to avoid getting hurt, especially her hands and fingers. She mentioned that she got injured playing with a cricket ball before, so she switched to using a tennis ball.
Janhvi received support from her mother, Sridevi’s fans, who remembered Sridevi’s famous cricket scene in the movie “Mr. India” and praised Janhvi for carrying on the family tradition.
Meanwhile, “Mr & Mrs. Mahi” is getting positive feedback from audiences, especially in A-centers, for its heartfelt emotions. Now, everyone is waiting to see how well the movie performs at the box office.
