Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming Telugu film starring Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie also features Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and others in important roles. Due to its budget of 700 crore rupees, the producers have decided to increase ticket prices.
They have received approval for a 75 rupee increase in single-screen theaters and a 100 rupee increase in multiplexes. After including taxes, tickets will cost 413 rupees in multiplexes and 265 rupees in single-screen theaters. Since the film is in 3D, there will be an additional charge for 3D glasses.
Top multiplexes like Prasads will offer high-quality 3D glasses for 100 rupees, making the total ticket price 513 rupees.
Furthermore, special early morning shows are planned at 5:30 AM in Telangana with different pricing. Tickets for these shows will be 377 rupees, rising to 495 rupees in multiplexes.
The film is set to have these special shows on its release day in Telangana, aiming to generate substantial revenue if it receives positive feedback. Despite the high prices, these measures are justified due to the immense anticipation for Kalki.
The movie is scheduled to release on the 27th of this month.
