KTR’s First Statement Supporting TDP After Election

Before the Andhra Pradesh election, both KCR and KTR confidently predicted that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would come to power. However, their prediction turned out to be wrong when the TDP+ alliance defeated Jagan’s government.

Now, KTR has made his first comment on the political situation in Andhra Pradesh, showing appreciation for the way TDP is functioning. He praised TDP’s efforts in halting the privatization of the Vizag steel plant after securing 16 MP seats in the elections.

“After the TDP+ alliance took power and won 16 MP seats, they successfully stopped the privatization of the Vizag steel plant,” KTR noted. He contrasted this with the situation in Telangana, where Congress and BJP, with 8 MP seats each, are moving to privatize Singareni coal, against public wishes.

KTR’s stance has clearly shifted after the AP election results, indicating a potential effort to foster better relations with TDP.
