Chandrababu Naidu, a seasoned TDP leader, is known for his respect towards his colleagues and party members. Recently, he demonstrated this by granting Pawan Kalyan a significant role in Andhra Pradesh’s new cabinet.
Typically, Chief Ministers appoint multiple Deputy Chief Ministers, but Naidu broke tradition by appointing only one individual to this esteemed position—Pawan Kalyan. This decision underscored Naidu’s respect and trust in Pawan Kalyan.
In contrast, during Jagan’s tenure, there were nine Deputy CMs appointed, which some viewed as fulfilling obligations rather than maintaining the sanctity of the role.
Previously, in 2014, Naidu appointed two Deputy CMs, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa and KE Krishna Murthy. However, this time, he entrusted the role solely to Pawan Kalyan. In addition to Deputy CM, Pawan will oversee the departments of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development & Rural Water Supply, Science & Technology, and Environment & Forest.
