Netflix Snack Costs More Than Monthly Subscription

Netflix is now selling popcorn through a partnership with Popcorn Indiana under the brand Netflix: Now Popping. The popcorn will be sold at Walmart and comes in flavors like ‘Cult Classic Cheddar Jettle Corn’ and ‘Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle Corn’. Each 8 oz bag costs $4.50.

This makes Netflix popcorn more expensive than their Basic plan with ads, priced at $6.99/month in the US. Netflix’s move follows AMC, which launched its own popcorn line in 2021. Previously, Netflix teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s to create the Netflix & Chilll’d flavor ice cream.

The launch of Netflix popcorn coincides with their summer lineup promotion, featuring shows like ‘Vikings: Valhalla’, ‘Too Hot to Handle’, ‘Barbecue Showdown’, ‘A Family Affair’, and ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’.
