Chandrababu Naidu, the CM of Andhra Pradesh, is visiting the Polavaram project for the first time since resuming his position. He will spend 7 hours inspecting the site on June 17 as part of the Somavaaram-Polavaram program.

Naidu, aged 75, will arrive by helicopter at 10 AM and continue his inspection until 5 PM without any breaks, responding to criticisms about his age from YCP leaders. During his visit, he will review the spillway block, guide bund, DSCD channels, and gaps, and assess rehabilitation efforts.

After the inspection, Naidu will hold a press briefing around 5 PM to update the media on construction progress. He plans to compare the current progress with the state of affairs when he left office in 2019.

The focus is on Naidu’s extensive inspection of Polavaram and his subsequent briefing, as the project holds immense significance for the region.
