TDP Leader Varma Attacked in Vannepudi Village
Varma, who oversees TDP affairs in Pithapuram, was attacked in Vannepudi village of Gollaprolu Mandal. He had gone there to thank his supporters after a victory, but his car was pelted with bottles, stones, and bricks.
Varma managed to escape with minor injuries, thanks to the presence of around 150 TDP members with him. He alleges that Thangella Uday Srinivas (known as tea time Uday) is responsible for the attack, claiming Uday has been stirring up trouble for the past six months. Varma stresses that this has nothing to do with Pawan Kalyan or Janasena.
Varma claims that the attackers are former TDP members who recently joined Janasena. He believes the attack wasn’t just on his car but an attempt to harm him.
He says he doesn’t have a plan of action right now, except to wait for the police to handle the situation. When questioned about the reason for the attacks, Varma simply says, “It’s our destiny.”
