Pushpa 2: Sukumar Recreates Malaysia & Japan in India?

User Newsinnews

As we mentioned before, the team behind “Pushpa 2” scouted locations in Bangkok (Thailand), Malaysia, and Japan for filming the second half of this sequel to the hit movie.

But with the August 15th deadline looming and no room for delays, they’re taking a different approach. Creative director Sukumar has decided to cancel plans to shoot abroad and instead recreate the settings of Malaysia, Japan, and Bangkok in Hyderabad. Sets related to these places will be built in Ramoji Film City, with some parts done practically and others through Computer Graphics.

Since the scenes set in Malaysia and Japan are from the late 90s and early 2000s, specific changes are needed. It’s easier to make these changes on sets rather than trying to modify real locations, making the filming process smoother.
