Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, like many others across the country, are deeply saddened by the passing of Ramoji Rao.
They have a special bond with him because he launched them into the film industry in 2004 with the movie Tujhe Meri Kasam, produced by Ramoji Rao’s Ushakiron movies and directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar. This movie was a remake of the successful Malayalam film Niram (1999), with Nuvve Kavali being its Telugu version.
Riteish expressed his sorrow, acknowledging that he and Genelia owe their careers to Ramoji Rao’s belief in giving opportunities to newcomers. He believes that Ramoji Rao’s legacy will endure. Genelia shared the same sentiment, thanking Ramoji Rao for his faith in newcomers at a time when they weren’t readily accepted in the industry.
