In a frightening accident involving a speeding car, the driver lost his life after crashing into four bikes in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Sadly, two other people also lost their lives, while six others were injured in the incident. The car, a Hyundai Santro, was being driven by a 72-year-old man named Vasant M Chavan, a retired Pro Vice-Chancellor of Shivaji University Kolhapur. The tragic crash was captured on CCTV.
The fast-moving Santro smashed into the two-wheelers, sending the riders flying through the air. A man and a woman on one bike narrowly avoided being hit. The Santro then collided with a parked vehicle further down the road.
Officials suspect that Chavan might have been unwell, leading to him losing control of the speeding car. The Santro also flipped onto its right side during the crash.
