Rajkummar Rao’s movie “Srikanth” is winning hearts and doing really well in theaters. By Day 9, it has made an impressive Rs 22.53 crore. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and starring Rajkummar Rao, Alaya F, Jyothika, and Sharad Kelkar, the movie got good reviews from both viewers and critics.
According to industry tracker Taran Adarsh, “Srikanth” is picking up speed and doing better on its second Saturday. It’s mainly popular in urban areas and is benefitting from a lack of big movies in the market. Also, many moviegoers seem to like it, which is helping its earnings. On Friday, it made Rs 1.67 crore, and on Saturday, it made Rs 2.82 crore. In total, it has made Rs 22.53 crore in India.
On Sunday, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar praised Rajkummar Rao for his acting in “Srikanth.” Ranveer Singh posted on his social media about how uplifting the story was and praised Rao’s performance. Akshay Kumar also shared his thoughts, saying the movie is a must-watch and that he enjoyed it a lot. He even joked with Rajkummar Rao, telling him to start teaching acting classes because he’s so good. Rajkummar Rao thanked Akshay Kumar and said he learns from the best.
“Srikanth” tells the true story of Srikanth Bolla, an industrialist who overcame his visual impairment to succeed in life. The movie will also focus on his challenges in education as a visually impaired person who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Known for hiring unskilled and differently-abled individuals, Srikanth Bolla’s story is inspirational. Rajkummar Rao’s portrayal of Srikanth has received much acclaim. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Alaya F praised her experience working with Rajkumar Rao. She mentioned how dedicated he is to his roles and how amazing it is to watch him act. She also described him as a kind and wonderful person to work with.
