In the recent election, YSRCP’s MLA seats dropped significantly from 151 to 11, and MP seats from 22 to 4. Since then, the party has been pushing a new narrative against Chandrababu Naidu and his influence in the central government.

YS Jagan himself mentioned in a recent internal meeting that the TDP holds considerable sway at the center and could easily advocate for Special Status for Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that Chandrababu’s support is crucial for the NDA coalition.

Now, Vijayasai Reddy has taken to Twitter to intensify the discussion, suggesting that Chandrababu Naidu could easily secure Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.

“If Chandrababu wishes, he can effortlessly secure Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. Being part of the NDA alliance, he holds influence with BJP leaders in the Central Government. Given the current political scenario, all he needs to do is make the request,” Vijayasai tweeted.

In response, TDP activists are pointing out that despite having 22 MPs over the past five years, YSRCP did not consistently advocate for SCS. Now, with the new coalition in power, they are suddenly urging Chandrababu to achieve SCS, which they themselves did not pursue previously.

TDP leaders are also reminding Vijayasai Reddy of his recent warning to BJP, emphasizing that the NDA government requires their support in the Rajya Sabha to pass legislation.
